Abstract

In India, Internet services have evolved through time, from slow dial-up connections to rapid optical fiber connections. When various telecom operators' services, such as broadband and mobile telephony, were first introduced and customer adoption was high, most retail rivalries focused on gaining new customers and switchers. As these services have evolved and used, recruiting entirely new clients has become less vital unless and until they discover some further extra benefits in the product or services.

In this research paper, the author is going to investigate the Internet service provider market in terms of fixed-line, specifically optical fiber network, product, price, and competition, such as Reliance Jio and Airtel network for the newly introduced Reliance "GigaFiber" & Airtel "Xstream," as well as customer satisfaction for the new services, using a set of questionnaires that is to be distributed via various social media and other means to determine if Reliance can repeat the previous success.
